The LCC baseball team pitched well in taking three of four games from Lane over the weekend.
The series began Friday March 10th with a double header at Story Field.Â
Taylor Davis got the start and went seven shutout innings innings allowing just five hits in the Devils 1-0 victory.
Trevor Huddleston came on in the 8th and held the Titans to just a hit in collecting the two inning save.
The lone run was scored in the 4th when
Chandler Michalek provided an RBI groundout.
Ricky Muzzy and
Nicklaus Palmer had two hits each.
Game two on Friday went to LCC 2-1.Â
Tyler Parsons went six innings of four hits ball to get the victory.
Anthony Garcia slammed the door in the 7th to collect the save.
Huddleston's two run single in the first inning held up.
Sunday the Devils beat Lane 7-1 as
Nick Tabura and
Jared Akin combined on a seven hitter. Both pitchers looked good coming off injury last season. Tabura wnet four innings and Akin went five.
JT Strickler had a two run homer. Cory Conklin slapped a two run single and
Jordan Barchus had two hits and an RBI.
Lane avoided the sweep by winning the series finale 7-3.Â
Anthony Brink gave up a two-run homer in the third inning and was saddled with the loss.Â
Jake Roes went two innings and gave up three runs.
Steve Robinson had two hits to lead the LCC offense.  Conklin and
Chase Hodkinson had RBI hits.
Ricky Muzzy had a triple.
The Devils host the George Fox JV's in a 4 pm double header on Tuesday March 14th.
