Dragons Slay The Devils

A team invited to fill in for the LCC Holiday Classic, did more than just fill in.  They beat the host team.

The Delena Dragons, led by three Division One players, three Division 2 players and former Red Devil stars of the past beat the current Lower Columbia team 64-55 in the finale of the opening day of the Holiday Classic at Myklebust Gym in Longview.

Former All-Pac 12 player Deven Hunter out of Oregon State scored 21 points and pulled 13 boards to lead the Dragons.  Her OSU teammate and former Devil Mollee (Schwegler) Strand had nine pints and five assists.

Former Devil Donniesha Webber hit back-to-back three's in the 4th quarter to kickstart the victory.

LCC got 12 points and seven rebounds from Shanay Dotson and Tywanna Abbott had a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards.

Cherita Daugherty made her season debut for LCC, scoring nine points and retrieving eight rebounds.
