Box Score The Lower Columbia College soccer team had a 5-0 lead at halftime and then managed the second half in a 6-1 victory over the banged up Gators from Green River on Saturday October 7th at Northlake Field.
Green River had several players dealing with injuries and concussions and played with nine players most of the way.
LCC got on the board quickly when
Kaylee Murray scored on a
Kayla Willis assist three minutes into the match. Seven minutes later
Kayla Willis added another helper, setting up a
Melany Roggow goal.
Emily McCoy had a penalty kick come right back to her and she kicked in an unassisted goal. The rout was on.
Ashlynn Willis then set up her twin sister Kayla for a goal at the 22 minute mark, making it 4-0.Â
Zoey Brimhall scored her first collegiate goal at 37' on a Roggow assist.
Three minutes after halftime,
Makenna Spillett scored on an
Ashlynn Willis assist.
Kayla Willis had a goal and two assists. Roggow had a goal and an assist.Â

Green River avoided the shutout with a goal by Kaitlyn Goss at the 51 minute mark.
Devil keeper
Kennedy Werner got a first half shutout before relinquishing to
Brianna Vollertsen in the second half.
LCC had 14 shots on goal. Green River had three.
The Devils pick up three points to get within one of 4th place Pierce.
LCC is now 5-5-3 overall and 3-3-2 in West Region play.
The Devils travel to Tacoma for a 2 pm game on Wednesday October 11th.
