Shaking off the disapointment of a loss to Tacoma, the Lower Columbia College women's basketball team regained some of its swagger with a 74-50 win at Green River on Wednesday January 18th.
The Devils used an aggressive, swarming full court defense to force the Gators into 33 turnovers. Coach
Chad Meadors used all 14 Red Devil players in a never ending defensive attack that led to 31 points off the 33 turnovers.
LCC held Green River's leading scorer Alexis Gleason (15.2 ppg) to zero points on the night.
Carissa Cannon led a balanced Red Devil scoring attack with 12 points.
The three Red Devil Madison's all scored in double figures.
Madison Hinrichs had 11 points and four steals.
Madison Crews had 11 points.
Madison Lord had 10 points and eight boards.
Bailey Hockett also had eight points and four steals to help the cause. LCC outscored the Gators 29-9 off the bench.
The Devils are now 2-1 in the West as they get ready to host Highline on Saturday January 21st at Myklebust Gym. Tip off is at 5 pm.
