Injuries are part of the game. The Red Devils didn't use them as an excuse. Instead they went out and gave talented Walla Walla a run for thier money on Wednesday September 7th.
The Warriors scored two second half goals to beat Lower Columbia 2-0.
Tied at 0-0 at halftime, the Warriors broke through with a goal at the 56th minute. Competing with just 12 players, LCC stayed after it. The match was decided when Walla Walla cashed in a penalty kick at the 80th minute.
Shelby Vermeulen was solid in goal, collecting 12 saves while keeping the Warriors at bay.

Grace Peacock and
Lily James were held out of the match due to injury. LCC also was limited by injuries to
Ashlee Thayer,
Abby Heckel and
Karlie Eichmeier, who all played at less than 100 percent.
The Devils have a couple of days to rest up before opening up West Region play this Saturday September 10th. It's a tough league opener as Highline comes to Northlake Field for a 12 pm start.
