Hurtin' Devils Drop Match at Treasure Valley

With two injured players and others nursing injuries, the Lower Columbia women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 match at Treasure Valley on Tuesday September 6th in Ontario, Oregon.

Grace Peacock and Lily James were unavailable due to injury as the team tried to play on less than full strength.

The Chukars jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first 26 minutes. LCC's Emily McCoy got the Devils on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal right before halftime.

McCoy almost scored again, but a close-up shot took a bounce off the post.

TV then added goals in the 61st and 64th minute to complete the victory.

LCC goalie Shelby Vermeulen was under constant duress as she had 17 saves.

The Devils drop to 2-3 on the season and have a quick turnaround as they take on the Warriors in Walla Walla Wednesday September 7th at 11am PDT, 12 pm MDT.
