Evenly Played Match Goes To Bulldogs

In an NWAC women's soccer match that went back and forth, the Bellevue Bulldogs scored in the 74th minute to earn a 2-1 win over a stubborn Red Devil team.

Bellevue scored the first goal in the 14th minute, but LCC came roaring back with a Haley Briggs goal to tie it up at the 27 minute mark..  Briggs goal was set up by a Katlyn Bigley assist.

The match then settled into a competition where no team had a distinct advantage and both had opportunities.

Bellevue broke through in the 74th minute to score the game winner.

Bellevue outshot the Devils 12 to 7.  Whitney Lopez played in goal and collected seven saves.

LCC drops to 1-4 in West Region play and 3-8 overall.

The game was the first of five straight home games for LCC. The Devils will host Pierce at 4 pm on Tuesday September  27th at Northlake Field.
