The Lower Columbia College volleyball team won its 5th straight match with a 3-0 victory over Clackamas on Thursday September 1st.

Rachel Erickson went on an incredible service streak to highlight the victory before another spirited crowd at Myklebust Gym.

Erickson had 15 consecutive service points in the third set and had a chance to clinch the match with a 16th before the Cougars finally broke up the run.  But LCC came away with the next point and clinched the match.

The set scores were 25-18, 25-21 and 25-9.  LCC trailed 5-2 in the final set and then got on a roll behind solid play and Erickson's streak.

Playing on a sore leg, Erickson also had 11 kills in the match.  Kallie Schmidt had 13 kills. The LCC attack percentage was an outstanding .420.

Haylee Savage set things up with 27 assists.  Khloe Clark, Olivia Conradi and Schmit all had seven digs.

The Devils have won five straight matches and have raised their overall record to 7-2.

LCC will have a two-stop single day road trip on Saturday September 3rd. The Devils will take on Everett at 12 pm and then play at Edmonds at 4 pm.
