In a evenly played match, Columbia Basin played solid defense against an attacking Lower Columbia offense and came away with a 2-0 victory on Thursday September 1st.
The rains were torrential at times. It was a different story from last season when the Hawks poured on seven goals in a shutout in Pasco. This time around the Devils showed vast improvement and in long stretches controlled the match. LCC outshot CBC 13-9 but the Hawks got the stops they needed.
CBC broke through with a goal at the 41 minute mark. In the second half LCC came after the Hawks but CBC scored the clincher at 87'.

Karlie Eichmeier had seven shots on goal to lead LCC.
The Devils are now 2-2 on the young season and will make a long road trip to Treasure Valley and Walla Walla. LCC will play the Chukars in Ontario Tuesday and then stop off at Walla Walla on the return trip for a 12 pm start on Wednesday.
