The Lower Columbia Red Devils and Everett Trojans seized the opportunity to get arms some work as they met in a non-league double header on Tuesday May 10th.
Everett won the first game 4-1 and the second tilt 9-8. Both games were seven inning affairs.
In the opener, the Devils were held to just three basehits by three Everett pitchers.Â
Lorin Archibald's RBI groundout in the first inning accounted for the LCC run.
Colin Brown gave up four hits and two runs in three innings and took the loss.Â
Todd Reese and
Jake Roes split the final four frames allowing just four hits.
The Devils were down 5-2 in the second game when they scored three in the 5th highlighted by
Kade Kryzsko's two-run single.
Taylor Davis hit a solo homer and Justin Highes had a double.
Trevor Huddleston gave up eight hits in two innings of work.Â
Anthony Brink had a solid outing giving up one run and three hits in three innings.Â
Taylor Davis took the loss after allowing three runs (one earned) in one inning.Â
Justin Hughes showed his versatility by pitching the final frame.
The Devils look forward to the final West Region games this weekend against Grays Harbor. The Devils need to win three of the four games to clinch the West championship and the automatic berth that comes with it.
