Sophomore
Alex Torson was in control from the outset as the Red Devils bounced back from a tough one run lost to Tacoma by shutting ouot Grays Harbor 8-0 on Sunday April 10th.
Torson was staked to an early lead and pounded the strike zone. He allowed just one basehit with no walks in 6 1/3 innings of work.
Relievers
Max Tilton and
Anthony Garcia came on to close it out with spotless, no-hit innings.
Devil leadoff hitter
Toby Johnson led thw ay with two hits and two RBI's.
The Devils scored four in the second inning, two runs in the third and then single runs in the 5th and 6th.
Garrett Myers was 2 for 4.
Lorin Archibald had two hits.
Riley Higgins walked four times.
The Devils did the damage with just eight hits, all singles.
LCC is now 3-2 in the West after the single games portion of the schedule. LCC and Pierce hook up for a four game weekend series, the first two at Story Field on Saturday Aprile 16th. The teams will be in a twin bill the next day Sunday April 17th at Mt. Tahoma High School in Tacoma. Start times for both double headers in 1 pm.
