The season is underway for the Lower Columbia women's basketball team.

It started with a win.

The Devils had a solid second half as they defeated the Southwestern Oregon lakers 79-60 on Friday November 18th at Myklebust Gym.

Up 44-36 at halftime, the Devils went on a 16-2 second half run and came away with the victory.

Madison Henrichs had 20 points to lead LCC, while Faye Chartraw added 18.  Ashley Coons had 11 points in her Red Devil debut.

Kaitlin Lewis returned to the court for the first time since the 2014-2015 season and had four rebounds and four assists.

LCC was playing without Samantha Boyce, Bailey Hockett and Olivia Doerr, who are all close to retirning from injury.

The Devils host Columbia Basin at 5 pm Saturday November 19th. The Devils will then host Peninsula at 12 noon on Sunday November 20th.
