The Lower Columbia volleyball team is alone in second place in the West after a 3-0 sweep over Tacoma on Friday September 30th.

Rachel Erickson and Kallie Schmit combined for 32 kills as the Devils won 25-10, 25-14 and 25-23.

Both Erickson and Schmit are dealing with nagging injuries, but both stepped up to lead the way. Erickson had 19 kills and Schmit added 13.

Haylee Savage had 41 assists and 10 digs on the night.

Khloe Clark, who was named the West Region Defensive Player of the Week, had 20 digs to lead LCC in that catagory.

Nina Bailey had six kills and three blocks.

The Devils go to 3-1 in West play and 15-5 overall.

It's a huge West showdown on Wednesday October 5th at Highline.  The T-Birds are 4-0 in league play.  The match, which features the #2 ranked T-Birds and the #7 ranked Red Devils, starts at 7 pm.
