A last minute time and venue change seemed to work well for the Pierce Raiders.
Pierce defeated Lower Columbia 4-1 on Wednesday October 26th in Puyallup. Field concerns caused Pierce to move the match to the artificial turf at the WPFC Complex off campus and the start time was moved from 2 pm to 12 noon.
It took a while for the Devils to shake off the early bus ride.
The Raiders were fortunate early to get a goal that caromed off a Red Devil. The Raiders then added another and got the lead they wouldn't relinquish.
Lower Columbia righted the ship in the second half and controlled most of the play.Â
Lily James scored an unassisted goal for LCC.
The Red Devils drop to 4-14-1 overall and 2-10-1 in the West division.
LCC will close out the season Saturday night in a 6 pm match with Bellevue.
