The season is underway for the Lower Columbia women's soccer team.

The Devils won one and lost one at the NWAC Friendlies soccer event in Eugene on Saturday and Sunday August 28 and 29.

LCC won the season opener with a 2-0 victory over Portland.  Lily James and Isabelle Sampson scored goals for the Devils.

Whitney Lopez recorded the shutout in goal.

Sunday the Devils found themselves down 3-0 at halftime to Skagit Valley.  That ended up the final score as LCC battled hard and made adjustments in the second half.

The Devils are on the road for a pair of games east of the mountains. LCC plays Columbia Basin in Pasco on Tuesday September 2nd, 6 pm.  The Devils then head to Yakima for a 6 pm game with Yakima Valley on Wednesday September 3rd.

The home opener is Wednesday September 9th against Portland.
