The Lower Columbia baseball team stayed unbeaten in West Region play with four wins over Grays Harbor on Saturday April 11th and Sunday April 12th.
In game one Saturday at Story Field, LCC came up with an 8-0 victory. Nick Tabura got the win by allowing just one hit in five innings of work. Tabura struck out six Chokers. Christian Parsons and Ryan Peart each supplied two innings of shutout relief.
Ryan Littlefield hit his third home of the season and collected season RBI's 19 and 20. Lorin Archibald had two hits and two ribbies. Jake Bakamus had two hits. The Devils had five doubles in the game, one each by Seaver Whalen, Chris Rogers, Tanner Marty, Kane Ulrich and Garrett Myers.
The second game Saturday got a little interesting at the end. The Chokers scored three runs in the top of the 7th and final inning and had the tying run on first, but Joel Worden shut the door for the save. Alex Torson got the win with 6 2/3 innings of work.
The Devils offense was held to just four RBI singles each by Whalen, Archibald, Littlefield and Rogers.
The Devils made the trip to Hoquiam on Sunday. only to get rained out at Olympic Stadium. The teams agreed to meet back in Longview for the twin bill at Story Field. The Devils romped in game one, 11-0. Jeremy Rabauliman tossed the complete game seven inning victory, allowing just four hits.
Bakamus hit his third homer of the year. Rogers had three hits and two RBI's Marty had two hits and two RBI's. Ulrich also had two hits.
The Devils took the series finale 5-1. Kade Kryzsko got the win with six innings of three-hit ball. Worden closed it out with a perfect 7th.
Bakamus led the offense with a two-run double. Archibald and Whalen had a hit and an RBI each.
The Devils have won 11 straight games as they step away from NWAC play for a double header with the Pacific JV's Tuesday April 14th at Story Field. The twin bill begins at 4 pm.
