Seaver Whalen had a day and so did many of teammates as the Lower Columbia baseball team defeated Centralia 15-0 on Tuesday March 31st.
The rout was on when LCC scored six runs in the third and six in the fifth. The game was shortened to 6 1/2 innings.
Whalen went 4 for 4 including a homer and two RBI's as the Devils pounded out 14 hits. Head coach Eddie Smith was able to get plenty of reserves some playing time and they all contributed to the victory.
Although it was mostly about the offense, Red Devil starter Kade Kryzsko was outstanding. The freshman allowed just one single in five innings of work. Christian Parsons kept the shutout intact with two innings of solid relief.
Tanner Marty was productive as he drove in five runs with a pair of basehits. Jake Bakamus was 2 for 3 with two runs scored. Michael Forgione was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Ryan Enquist had an RBI single. Max Tilton had a basehit.
The feel good game will be followed by a pair of road games Friday and Saturday. LCC will take on Green River in a 1 pm single game at Russell Road Park in Kent. That will be followed by a 1 pm single game at Tacoma CC on Saturday.
