The Lower Columbia baseball team had a sucessful road trip when they took three of four games in Eastern Washington on Saturday March 14th and Sunday March 15th.

Jake Bakamus had the big bat going 8 for 15 in the four games.

The first roadie of the season started with a 6-4 victory at Walla Walla.  Ryan Littlefield went 2 for 2 with a homer and double and 2 RBI.  Bakamus began his big weekend with two hits. Red Devil ace Tanner Olson got the victory with six innings scattering six hits and seven strikeouts. Christian Parsons got the save with three innings of relief.

The Devils then pounded out 21 hits in a 17-4 victory over the Warriors.  Bakamus was 5 for 5 with 6 RBI's. Bakamus had two homers and a double in the offensive explosion.  Chris Rogers had 3 hits and 3 RBI. Michael Forgione also had 3 hits and 2 ribbies.  Seaver Whalen, Littlefield and Lorin Archibald had two hits each. It was more than enough to back the pitching of Jeremy Rabauliman, who gave up four hits in five innings for the victory.  Gabe Ihrig gave up just one hit in two innings of work to close it out.

Sunday in Pasco, the Devils defeated Columbia Basin 6-4.  Littlefield had two hits and two RBI's including a homer. Rogers and Archibald both had two hits and an RBI.  Alex Torson went six innings for the victory. Joel Worden collected the save by shutting down the Hawks in the bottom of the 7th and final inning.

The Devils were two innings away from a weekend sweep before the Hawks exploded for three runs in the bottom of the 8th for a 5-3 victory.  Red Devils errors didn't help the cause late.  Kade Kryzsko was tremendous in his six innings of work, scattering nine hits and allowing just two runs.  Nick Tabura gave up three runs, but just one earned, in taking the loss.

The Devils are back home this weekend to host Edmonds in a 1 pm double header Saturday at Story Field. The teams will then head to Edmonds for a twin bill on Sunday.
