The Lower Columbia Baseball team battled with the Lane Titans over a two-day, four-game set at Story Field on Friday March 6th and Saturday March 7th.
The series opened Friday afternoon with Lane taking a 2-1 victory. The Titans broke the tie with a 7th inning tally against Devil starter Tanner Olson who took the loss. Olson was solid allowing just three hits and five strikeouts. Christian Parsons provided two innings of scoreless relief.
Lorin Archibald led the Devils offense with two hits and the lone RBI. LCC managed just five hits and left eight runners on base.
Jeremy Rabauliman pitched well in a 4-2 Red Devil win in the second game. Rabauliman provided six scoreless innings, allowing six hits and four strikeouts.
Ryan Littlefield had an RBI single in the first inning. Seaver Whalen doubled and then scored on a Rory Graf-Brennen RBI double. Kade Kryzsko supplied an insurance runs with and eight inning RBI single.
On Saturday, Lane used extra innings to beat the Devils 7-5. The Titans scored two runs in the 10th to get the win. Red Devil starter Alex Torson held down the Lane team until they scored three in the 5th. The LCC bullpen struggled as Peyton Burks gave up two runs in the 8th. Gabe Ihrig took the loss when he gave up two runs in the 10th.
LCC had 12 hits in the first game. Littlefield had three singles, Chris Rogers had two safeties and Whalen had a hit and was hit by three pitches.
The Devils battled back in the series finale behind the pitching of Kryzsko. The freshman got the win allowing just one run on four hits in five innings of work. Nick Tabura closed it out with two shutout innings, allowing just one hit.
Jake Bakamus had a two-run double for LCC. Archibald and Graf-Brennen had two hits each.
