Devils Rally to Beat Clark, A Costly Victory

An early knee injury to Kaitlin Lewis and a subsequent concussion to Payton Barker got the Red Devils off a terrible start in a road game at Clark on Saturday February 7th.

But the Devils dug deep in the aftermath and rallied for a 58-52 victory, competing a regular sweep over the Penguins.

Lewis went down inside the first minute with what appears to be a serious knee injury. She will undergo a further examination to get a clear picture of the injury. Barker took a charge and recieved a consussion. She was taken to the hospital for an examination and will miss some time under the proper protocal.

With two key players down, the Devils fell behind by 16 points. Once they processed things, the Devils rallied to tie it up at 31 at halftime.

Donniesha Webber led the way with 18 points. Sierra Richards had 13 points and 11 rebounds. Kaylea Knox scored 12.

The Devils are now 11-0 in the West Region, 18-7 overall.

LCC will return to action Wednesday when they host the Green River Gators in a 6 pm tip-off at Myklebust Gymnasium.
