The Devils knew that if they played a complete team game, they could upset #2 ranked Highline on Wednesday October 7th.
What the Devils didn't know is that they could dominate a great team like the T-Birds. That's what happened.
LCC came out strong and won set one 25-23. The T-Birds then evened things up with a 25-19 win in set two. LCC then won set three 25-16 and closed it out with a huge 25-8 victory in the clincher.
Leading the way was freshman
Rachel Erickson who had 20 kills and 13 digs. Fellow freshman and Capital HS teammate
Kaysee Wohl had 11 kills.
There were plenty of stars on this night as
Kelsey Brown had 23 assists and 10 digs,
Kylie Reinholdt with 5 assists and 14 digs, and
Alexa Bond with 12 digs.
The Devils will try and keep the momentum going when they head to Centralia for a league match against the Blazers on Friday October 9th. The start time is 7 pm.
With the win over Highline, the Devils go to 3-2 in league and 12-10 overall.
