For a team going through a tough stretch, the LCC Red Devils have to consider a 1-0 loss to Green River a heartbreaker.

On Wednesday September 17th, the Green River team scored in the 83rd minute to hold off the upset minded Devils 1-0.

Goalie Alexandria Aspinwall turned away seven shots, but it was scramble late that allowed the Gators to find the net.

LCC head coach Harlan Cruser lauded the defensive play of Georgie Van Panhuis and Jaclyn Huber.  Irasema Alvarado and Taylor Fletcher also played well.

The Devils were playing without two of their top scoring threats, Jade Reid and Maddie White, both out with injury.

LCC will have a week off before returning to action. The Devils take on Peninsula Wednesday September 24th in Port Angeles. Start time is 2 pm.

A scheduled match with Rogue on Friday September 19th was cancelled at the request of the Rogue team.
