The Red Devils got on the scoreboard first, but the Pierce Raiders tallied three runs in the 4th and went on to a 5-2 victory Friday afternoon April 18th in Lakewood.
Michael Forgione had a good day at the plate for LCC, going 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored. The Devils scored single runs in the second and third, but the offense was turned away after that.
Justin Jacobs had two hits and Peter Leece had a hit and an RBI.
Tanner Olson was charged with his first loss of the season, going seven innings, allowing five runs. He struck out six and walked one.
Gabe Ihrig came in in the 8th inning and got the Devils out of a bases loaded jam without further damage.
Darrien Moran got the win for Pierce. Colton Nash and Dillon Gee combined for five hits and three RBI's.
The Devils have a quick turn around as they host the Green River Gators for a single game Saturday April 19th. The game was orginally scheduled for 1 pm, but it has been changed to 11 am to try and beat the forecasted rain.
