DEVILS TAKE CARE OF HIGHLINE, CLARK LOOMS

The LCC women's basketball team came up with a big home victory over Highline 77-66 on Saturday February 1st.

Freshman post Sierra Richards had a big game with 16 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.

Also top contributors were Arinesha Smith with 19 points and Christian Carlson with 10 points. Smith was 11 for 13 at the free throw line. The Devils as a team were 18 for 25 at the charity stripe.

The Devils jumped out to a 41-29 lead at the half, then staved off any T-Birds rally in the second half.

With the win, the Devils go to 9-1 in the Western Region, alone in second place. The T-Birds drop to 7-3, two games behind the Devils.

LCC has a huge home game on Wednesday February 5th as the league-unbeaten Clark Penguins come to the Mark Morris Gym. Clark is 9-0 in league play.

It's Red Canoe Credit Union Night and ASLCC Spirit Night so there will be peltny of activities surrounding the game. The Red Canoe folks will have giveaways and the halftime paper airplane contest. The Associated Students will have free pizza, giveaways and will present the Blazer Break Dancers.

Tickets are just $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and youth. LCC students and staff get in free with their campus ID's.
