DEVILS DUMP THE T-BIRDS
A big first half fueled the Lower Columbia College Red Devils to a 55-48 victory over Highline on Saturday January 4th.
The Devils jumped out to a 17 point first half lead and led 35-23 at the intermission. The Thunderbirds battled back within two late in the game, but LCC righted the ship and collected a big West Region road win.
Amica Cranston had a large game for the Devils. She made 6 of 8 shots and ended with a game high 14 points. The feshman from Mt. View also collected 7 rebounds.
Kaylea Knox had eight points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Point guard
Arinesha Smith added nine points.
Donniesha Webber returned to the lineup after sitting out a game with a sore knee. She had six points and six boards.
The Devils go to 2-0 in league and 9-4 overall. They make the trip to Vancouver on Wednesday January 8th for a matchup with the Clark Penguins. LCC will be wearing the home whites as Clark conducts a "black out" event. Red Devil fans should feel free to wear white or red if they make the trip.
