DEVILS OPEN LEAGUE WITH WIN
Despite some first half struggles, the Lower Columbia College women's basketball team opened West Region play with a victory over South Puget Sound on Thursday January 2nd.
The Devils beat the Clippers 82-64. LCC was up just 39-35 at halftime, but outscored the Clips 43-29 in the second 20 minutes.
Christian Carlson led the way with 25 points on 9 for 14 shooting.
Amica Cranston had a breakout game with 19 points and eight rebounds.
Haley Hibbs collected another double-double, scoring 11 with 13 rebounds.
The Devils have a big league showdown Saturday January 4th at Highline. The games tips off at 12 noon in Des Moines.
