Devils Show Improvement in Twin Roadtrip
The Red Devils took NWAACC power Mt. Hood to a 4th game on Tuesday September 10th, dropping a 3-1 match to the Saints. Hood won the first two sets 25-20 and 25-23, but the Devils battled back to take the third set 25-20. Mt. Hood then clinched the match with a 25-13 win in the 4th. The match was the first of two road matches that day, as the team then traveled to Oregon City for a matchup with Clackamas. It was a similar result as the Devils lost 3-1. Carri Smith was pleased with the progress against top notch competition. "We battled against two very good teams", she said. "We just need to learn how to finish."
The Devils are back on the road Thursday September 12th at Chemeketa. The match time in Salem is 7 pm.
