DEVILS OPEN EUGENE TOURNEY WITH WIN
A big second half rally gave the LCC men's basketball team a 70-68 win over Umpqua in the opening day of the Dale Bates Tournament in Eugene Oregon.
Down 35-23 at the intermission, the Devils outscored the Riverhawks 47-33 in the second half to gain the win.
Sophomore
Mana Niu led the way with 23 points. Niu was 9 for 12 from the floor.
Sherif Taha had 14 points to help in the effort.
Taylor Drey had a tough shooting night, but made all four free throws and ended with 10 points.
Jeremy Burright led LCC rebounders with 12, 10 on the defensive glass. He also scored 8 points.
The Devils adbance to the semi-finals where they take on Spokane Saturday December 14th.
