BIG ROAD WIN AT AUBURN

The Red Devil volleyball team opened the second run through league with a big road win at Green River on Wednesday October 23.

The Devils won the match 25-22, 19-25, 25-14 and 25-23. Sophomore Mckenna Hoyt led the attack with 21 kills. Jessica Fischer had 40 assists and six digs. It was a big team win with plenty of contribution. Marnee Clancy had 22 digs. MacKenzie Flatz provided 11 kills, three blocks and 12 digs. Amanda Schwegler had nine kills. Tessie Biddix came up with six kills. Chelsea Macumber had four kills and Shaina Gustafson had 11 digs.

With the victory, the Devils move into fourth place alone in the West Region. The top four teams qualify for the NWAACC Championships. LCC is 4-4 in league and 10-19 overall.

The Devils have a chance to get into a third place tie if they can beat Pierce at home Friday night. The Raiders occupy the third spot with a 5-3 mark.

The match Friday is ASLCC Spirit Night. The Associated Students will be providing free pizza, foam fingers, and a T-Shirt will be thrown into the crowd for each Red Devil kill or ace.

The action is at the Mark Morris High School Gym beginning at 7 pm.
