Ed Cheff began his illustrious college baseball coaching career at Lower Columbia where he won 120 games in four seasons at the helm of the Red Devils. His record at LCC was 120-24 and the Devils won the Coastal Division each year.
 
He would go on to Lewiston, Idaho where he amassed more 1,700 victories in 34 seasons at Lewis-Clark State University, 4th all-time among all college head coaches.  His Warrior teams won 16 NAIA National Championships. His teams also took second place five times and third place three times.
 
Cheff also was the main player in making sure the NAIA World Series made it a near permanent home in Lewiston.
 
Coach Cheff is also a legend coaching in the Alaskan Summer League and for numerous teams representing USA Baseball.
 
Known for his hard-nosed style, Cheff coached teams that were ultra-competitive and relentless.
 
Cheff was a great athlete at Woodland High School and he began his coaching career at Kelso High before taking the job at LCC.
 
Coach Cheff is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, the NAIA Hall of Fame and the Lewis-Clark Hall of Fame.
