Lower Columbia College Athletics

Under the leadership of head coach Scott Carnahan, the 1981 Red Devils won the school's second NWAC championship.  In his 5^th season, after two second places and the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, Carnahan broke through to the title with the 1981 team.  Mother nature tried to mess with the 81 Devils as rain thwarted the final day, but it was clear this team was the best in the NWAC.  The team won the division title with a 17-7 record and went 3-0 in the championship tournament.  The Devils were led by LCC Hall of Famer Jim O'Dell, Don Fenton, Allan Peterson, Gary Balmer and Todd Baddley.
 
The 1981 LCC Baseball team will be honored during the current Red Devils home baseball double header on Saturday April 29 against Pierce College.
